PicoScope Automotive Oscilloscopes is a two-day technical course from AK Automotive.

It is aimed at those working in motor vehicle repair workshops who would like to learn more about diagnosing vehicle electrical systems using the well known PC-based automotive oscilloscope diagnostic kit from Pico Technology.

The course covers the latest PicoScope 4425A 4-channel Automotive Oscilloscope and Pico 7 software.

This is an ideal technical course for existing PicoScope users as well as those who have just bought a PicoScope who would like to learn how to make best use of the tool for diagnosing their customers’ vehicles.

The course takes a hands-on approach to using PicoScope as an aid to diagnosing modern vehicle electronic systems.

During the course you will learn how to use the PicoScope menus and settings and what to look for when testing vehicle electrical systems and components.

You will learn how to use PicoScope for testing sensors and actuators used in petrol and diesel engine management systems. This includes testing spark ignition systems and petrol and diesel injector control circuits. You will also learn how to test the CAN Bus and use PicoScope to perform other useful checks.

At the start of the course you will receive a detailed, fully illustrated set of course reference notes in A4 folder with example oscilloscope waveforms, settings and other useful tips on how to use the PicoScope.

By the end of the course, you will be able to use the PicoScope automotive oscilloscope more effectively when carrying out diagnostic test routines on your customers’ vehicles.
